Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Interlibrary Loan Participation:

The library is a participant in the Inter Library Loan program sponsored by the State Library of Iowa.

To use this great feature you must be a current library card participant at the Curtis Memorial Library, with no over due items or fines. You must also be a card holder in good standing for no less than 90 days.

Patrons are encouraged to seek materials not available at the library. Interlibrary loan materials are due two days prior to the due date indicated by the lending library, to allow time for shipping.

Interlibrary loan materials may be renewed prior to their due date with permission from the lending library. Such renewal requests will be made through the Curtis Librarian.

Requests will be limited to five per month unless other arrangements are made with the Director of the library.

The Interlibrary Loan System allows patrons access to a vast amount of materials from other libraries throughout the state and across the nation at usually no charge to the patron!

You may use the form in our web site to request an item
